not sure how it will help to know whether its 40 or 41... they have taken more people this time in R1 overall - we already know that. Why? the only reason I can think of is the economic climate and the expectation of pullouts. Else why make a drastic deviation? There are no plans to increase the class size. They would have announced it.

And no: people for Spore campus do not receive a notification before others. Its all mixed together - on the basis of past threads.

Folks, I'm seeing on INSEAD previous threads a count of the MBA accepted candidates taken from MBAconnect!
what is this MBAconnect? Is it accessible? Is it the real count?

Could we have the actual count if possible with nb per nationalities?

Such a count could be very refreshing for our J12 forum for now, as there is some silence over here!
I guess we're crossing the silence coming before the storm! still we have a long wait before the admissions storm

MBAConnect is the INSEAD portal you get access to once you are accepted to the program. There is ton of information regarding housing, visa, fees and languages etc. Also a bulletin board to organize events and sell/buy stuff. And there is the directory, which keeps building as each person who gets accepted registers. So at the moment all the R1 applicants for 12D batch who got accepted are on the directory. The current numbers are below -

MBAConnect numbers for 12D

Total 285
Indian 40
American 37
French 19
Canadian 19
Chinese 15
British 14
Russian 7

Take this with a grain of salt though. Not everyone who registers on MBAConnect plans to attend INSEAD, since you get the access before you send in the deposit.

Hi All R2 aspirants,

Best of luck with your results! I can understand the pain to wait but this all gears you up, in a small manner, for the course...

Relax and dont focus too much on stats! As mentioned by someone else, MBA Connect numbers are surely not updated (no clue on the reasons)...I know some students who are not joining, so the nos. will change surely.

If you are good you are there....dont worry...

What are the different email subjects?

Oh is it ?? I thought even if accepted, they send an e-mail .. So will have to wait for a +33 now !!! Wait is killin me .. And on top of that ETS hasn't sent my GRE report yet . Received an email from my coordinator for the same and its more frustrating to know that it hasn't reached yet even after 25 days !! never expected this from ETS .. Anybody else faced this kinda problem ? I had to mail my original to INSEAD because they told me that they cannot release the final decision w/o a hard-copy of my original score report .. And now I am more nervous .. God knows what it's going to be !!

Guys and Gals,

You will start hearing stuff around Wednesday. From my experience, your coordinator will call from region to region and let you know if you got in. Some coordinators take longer to move from region to region and that adds to anxiety.

It is easier said than done but try to relax. Life always works out... one way or the other!

Good luck everyone. Like bnkhan said, calls will start going out tomorrow. There is no set pattern for the calls. So try not to fret too much. I know it is easier said than done, I went through the same thing a couple of months ago.

Regarding MBAConnect numbers, I still feel they are bloated and INSEAD has not done a clean up. Considering only 192 people have joined the Facebook group for 12D INSEAD Admits, MBA Connect numbers are truly too high. So don't worry about the numbers.

Once you are accepted and have registered on MBAConnect, find us on Facebook and join the growing community of 12D Admits.

It depends on your location trudy, if you are located in Australia or in the USA they won't call you in the middle of the night. If you are in Europe then I guess it could be at any part of the day (in the morning or even during the evening). Try not to think about it much. It helps to think you will get the call very late on Friday so if it happens earlier then great else you don't wait every second for the phone to ring. Think Friday evening. Good luck whenever though!

there will only be a few calls tomorrow... they'll stretch it like a rubber band till the last hr of Friday for most... I do feel a lot of it is a part of a psychological play by b-schools to make applicants feel they really have 'earned' their seat... they create this aura of being 'exclusive' through these mind games... why not just email the acceptances out as they get done... easier for everybody... but no... no sweat... in or not... i am ready... i aint playing their game... logging out.
