Birdy and Nams, if it makes you feel better, I haven't yet received details for ANY of my interviews!

I will most likely have to travel (which I agreed to do) but they are still struggling to find interviewers. It's really strange, but it doesn't worry me. They'll find something before the deadline.

Hi, I'm based in London too and am still awaiting my second interviewer's details. I initially had a second interviewer, but this person was ultimately unable to meet with me. I received an email from my coordinator (A-M B) on Tuesday, in which she said that she was still searching for a replacement and that this would in no way whatsoever put me at a disadvantage. I haven't heard anything back from her since then, but as with Hdim I'm not overly concerned as I'm sure they will make the necessary arrangements before the deadline.

It is however really strange to think that they're struggling to find alumni in London of all places!

Read this today in INSEADMBATeam Twitter:

Quote:
June 20 we're launching a new #INSEAD #MBA application form.U can now scan&attach transcripts & any other supporting docs to ur app form.^MJ

R1 and R2 applicants should not bother about it, but R3 applicants would definitely be affected by this change.

proMBAcandidate - Don't even sweat it dude/dudette (Don't know if you're a male or female). Life always works out and no need to take stress because somebody was not taking you seriously. I never sent any email to the adcom and felt that if I say something, it may reflect negatively upon my candidacy. (I wish you hadn't done that but hopefully something good comes out of it). I just went to the gym and punch the crap outta the boxing bag and then ran 5 miles to get all the frustrations out.

Quote of the day just for you!!! "You can't stop a winner from winning and loser from losing" BE THE WINNER, my friend!

On the separate note, my 2nd interviewer replied to my thank you note that he was impressed with my focus and passion and how far they have taken me. One thing I forgot to mention in my long winded post was the he took serious interest in my mother's health. My mother has a serious spinal cord injury and recovery has been long and painful. Hopefully he submitted a positive recommendation for me.

BTW somebody had asked me about my profile. I never know how to answer that question. It reminds me of the good ol' AOL chat days (A/S/L) LOL. Anyhow... I work for US Dept of Defense, Associate Director, Nuclear Energy, Fire Control Weapons and all kinda toys that blow things up (and I'm a muslim, yes I know a SHOCKER). I have started an NGO in South Asia, away from work I'm currently working with UN to start self-illuminating energy sources in Africa, fluent in three languages and hoping to learn some French and Portuguese (If I get in), lived in many different countries and I can't tell you enough about how excited I get thinking about getting in INSEAD so I can meet and learn from all of you AWESOME people (a small tear, HA!). I think these things about my profile are more relevant than just GMAT/GPA etc. I hope you guys can share some of your personal experiences... genuinely interested in getting to you guys!

P.S. There is a plan for every one of us and if we don't get in, SO WHAT, pfffttt... Your dreams and goals are yours... make them come true with or without INSEAD! I recommend marrying a really rich, old and near the grave man or a woman :-)

proMBAcandidate - And I think IB and Mgmt Cons are interesting careers! But I agree it is easier to impress a girl at the bar by telling her that you work on nuclear bombs... I hope adcom is equally easy to impress ;-)

Once you submit the pdf you will get a link wherein you have the option to upload you photograph. It also lets you resize the photgraph to their requirements.

I think we are all glad that it was the punching bag and you did not resort to one of the toys you look after ! ;)

Jokes aside, very interesting insights and a very interesting profile bnkhan. And the more I hear the profiles of the people on this forum the more I wanna go to Insead !

Done with the interviews now. And the wait is going to be long and painful ...

Hi all,

I had also my 2 interviews. Due to a shortage of interviewers in my country of residence, I had to travel to another country for the interviews.

I was quite disappointed about the first one: I arrived exhausted at the interview (as I had to leave the office for three days for the interviews, I had a very tough week before the interviews to prepare everything so my on-going projects wouldn't suffer). I was therefore not really prepared for the interview so I didn't perform the way I was hoping to. The interviewer was however really nice, professional and asked me the usual questions. Quite interested about my experience although we were working in completely different fields.

The second one was much better (I slept between the two interviews, that helps :) ), again very nice interviewer whose background was closer to mine and as we shared the same clients and visited the same places, we had a really interesting discussion.

Hope they will balance the feedbacks before taking a final decision !!

I just submitted my app using my macbook. When I first clicked on submit application, it seemed to upload, but then the application closed down. I reopened and click on submit again, and then a small bar appeared that seemed to show progress - however this didn't really move beyond a certain point so I then click on the show receipt button - after which it took me to a website that said the application was successfully submitted. I even got an email confirmation.

has anyone else faced this while submitting their app? has there ever been a case of an incomplete application uploaded?

thanks.

It seems there are quite a few people who faced a similar issue but all of them ended with successful submissions. Try mailing <[email protected]> and they will let you know if the process was really successful. I had an issue with the number of completed fields message and sent a query to this mail id. They responded back within a day.

Does anyone if INSEAD gives some extra time to submit recommendations ? lot of schools will accept recommendations until one week after the application deadline. Does INSEAD gives such an extension as well ?

From my last year experience, News will start to come out 3 days before the deadline. But the bad news (ding and waitlist) come out first. Good ones only come out 1 or 2 days before the deadline.
