Done with both my interviews, first about two weeks ago and the second last Friday. Both were similar, extremely informal. The three whys were asked, we discussed a bit on different cultures, culture shocks, campus choices, finance options and language requirements. But surprisingly neither asked me about my other interests or hobbies and/or any question where I could have talked about it. First one lasted about 1 hour 15 mins and second about 50 mins. The second interviewer was a little pessimistic about the competition since I am an Indian engineer though not in IT and interested in strategy consulting. Apparently the number of applicants have been increasingly tremendously each year (dont have the numbers). Now the painful wait begins..

I know people on the September intake who got the results just about a week after they had their interview....

I don't know how it works though... Don't know why some people receive them early when some don't even if they had their interviews early on.

One thing I know is that they make their decision on a roll out process; meaning they meet several times before the deadline (as opposed to one single time before the deadline) and decide on a "batch" of applicants. So if you had your interviews early in the process they might have already decided for you :)

Hi everyone,

Don't know why I found this topic only now, but still I'm new to the forum, and I applied in R1 Jan 2012 intake. My profile shortly - M / 26 / 760 / Russian / 4 years in auditing and consulting / 2 years in industry (steel). I've passed both of my interviews about 3 weeks ago, and now the only thing I want in this world is to receive a positive reply from AdCom :)

Both interviews were quite informal and positive, the questions discussed were generally standard - 3 whys, the discussion of my previous experience, my short-mid-long-term goals, cultural differences, my previous international/multicultural experience. Didn't notice any negative reactions from the interviewer's side, so now hope for the better :)

Lol ....thankfully, I just got done with second - they might be deciding for me this very minute :)

I would think that such early invites would be sent to the no-brainer cases , the other profiles might be re-evaluated against each other .. again just my two cents , only AdCom knows how it works :P

I am an Round 1 admit from the September 2011 intake. The Insead decision deadline for our group was December 17, 2010 but most admit decisions were handed out by email or phone calls on December 15th and 16th. It was similar for the last 2 years -> Admit decisions were announced starting from 2 days before the decision deadline.

The Round 1 decision deadline for the January 2012 intake is June 24th, so the admits will start hearing back on June 22nd (if the trend from the last three years continues). I wouldnt sweat too much before that :)

Good luck guys!

Hello,

I submitted my online app on May 29 and as per Fedex my transcripts were delievered on Jun 3rd. Any idea from here how long it takes for INSEAD to officially confirm that my app is complete?

Thing is if I get to know somehow that any part of the app is missing I can probably take remedial action (like posting the missing piece) and still make it to R2.

Insead generally does a really good job of reaching out to candidates whose file is not complete and accomodating for a delay in submission of transcripts and other supporting material etc. I am an admit from the September 2011 intake, fedex was not able to deliver my transcript on time to Insead, but when I emailed the admission office about the possible delay (2 days), they were extremely polite and accomodating.

You shouldnt have anything to worry about :) If your file is incomplete in anyway, Insead should be reaching out to you in a week or two.

Hi all,

Hope things are going well for the new round of applicants... I'm a current student, started in January 2011, and halfway through my time at INSEAD. Finally got some breathing room so I thought I'd come back to the forums to help out with any questions. Let me know if you have any q's.

Cheers!

Yes, application fees are in Euros. As for the questions, just start an application form (one that you will throw away), and you can generate links for referees to fill in recommendations. Click on the link and then you can see all the questions that your referees will fill in.

The Insead recommendation questions mention on this link appear accurate.

Is anybody maintaining a record of the members of this forum and what their application status is?

If not, we could create a Google doc excel sheet where everyone could enter their own info and status. I will be happy to start this if there isn't already one.

Another question?

INSEAD inform that the minimum requirement for TOEFL is 105.

Therefore, the applicant who got only 104 should or should not send their application?

Anyone please help.
