Male, 26, Indonesian

* GMAT 680 (Q50, V30), TOEFL 600 . GPA top 10% in the school
* I have 5 years working for a big firm (Fortune 500) as market planning manager.
* I traveled and worked in Crzech Republic 2 years in the representative office there.
* During two years working in home country (Indonesia), I committed to a NGO to implement many governmental projects in rural areas to develop living standards there.
* Now, I also opened a trading company with around 10 employees. And it 's growing well. I am thinking to expand to a foreign neirghbour.

My goal is to gain an MBA from an ultra elite program such as H/S/W to have a big investment in the US. My post MBA interest for 2 years is to work in consulting/marketing company and earn expereince prior to my own investment in the US.

Please evaluate my chance.

MBAgogo,

You have a lot going for you: Indonesian background (underrepresented at top B-schools), interesting international experience (Indonesia + Czech), apparently strong social impact experience, and good professional experience (marketing w/ prominent company + entrepreneurial experience). So you can aim high, but as for H/S/W I have two concerns: your GMAT (if you could raise it to 720 or so I'd breath a lot easier) and your leadership profile and impact in your current work. You want to have unusually strong impact and fast-track responsibilities in your current work. If you do and you raise your GMAT a bit I think you'd have a shot at these schools. Best bet would be Wharton, then HBS, followed by Stanford (much smaller class). Given your marketing goals I think you should Kellogg to your list, at a minimum. I also recommend increasing your odds by adding some schools that are a little lower on the list (but still elite): e.g., Michigan, Duke.
