Hello,

What is the best way to answer this question in the interview? How long should it be? Should this also include why MBA?

Thanks for your answer,
Niladri.

"Tell me about yourself" is an open-ended question so you definitely need to prepare for it. Do not ramble. Decide ahead of time what you want to communicate about yourself. Focus on aspects of your experience and history that will be valuable in business school. Don't spend 5 minutes talking about your used car collection. Instead talk about your strengths, career goals and if relevant, any key career transitions. You can also throw in a couple of sentences about why an MBA at that particular program is critical at this point in your personal development.
