I don't think this is a good idea. This has already gone way farther than it ever should have. As I said on one of my posts in the other thread where this began, many of agold's posts are very good.

I was wrong to ban him. I've apologized to agold and unlocked his username.

I have read loads of post from jallen & agold/terp06, and its really benefitted me.

I personally feel mods should not ban mods. It should be left to the likes of Prae, kry, rhyme, river, pelihu to take that decision.

Having said that, I dont know the context. If you can throw that in the open, may be we all or only the mods can "vote", coz not many (i'm guessing), have seen what agold wrote.

On the one hand I agree....on the other I think that prolonging this thread in the effort to get things set to rights at the risk of additional animosity is not a worth the effort.

I must say that I'm really turned off by this whole incident. Moderators should NOT be allowed to ban other moderators. Censorship should not occur unless it is truly warranted (things like pornography, insults, swearing, etc.)

I agree totally.... Praet, I'm sure you guys can put a check on moderator "hate crimes" like these by putting a sort of stop to mods' power against each other.... afterall, mods are (and should work as) a "team" aren't they???

Not to defend Jallen for what he wrote back to agold, but the thread had taken a turn for the worse. Agold posted some rather offensive things and sometimes its better to end a discussion than to let it go.

That said, his last comment was uncalled for and really didnt need to be posted. Personal attacks arent warranted on the forum.

I might have skipped this, like I mentioned earlier, let the big guys decided. River mentions it was "offensive", "uncalled for" , and I would second with him.

egy - i guess you're voting to not move on and you'd rather make things worse? That seems to be the aim of your last post.

As for deleting the posts? What is wrong with deleting a post once you realize it never should have been posted to begin with? Why leave it up there to continue making people made that it was posted?
