For R2 admits, did anyone receive the acceptance email yet? I was told during the admit call to expect an email but I never got one.

Got an email from admissions committee titled "You're in ... now what?" This contained general information about Ithaca, housing, Destination Johnson weekend and the admitted student Facebook group.

Do new admitted amba students have the same opportunity for financial aid as new 2-year mba students?

Waitlist..... :(

A tremendous barrage of waitlist w/o interview this time, I guess

For those who got waitlist with or without interview, here are my tips:

- DO NOT lose hope
- Yes it is possible to get in through the waitlist (I was waitlisted w/o interview and then after the following round ended I eventually got in)
- Look at yourself from the eyes of the admissions. What is missing? Double check your materials: essays/scores sent/interview. What could be your weakest points and what are you doing to improve them?
- What efforts have you done to know better the school/show interest? Is there something you could do in the following weeks?

Query:

The admissions email stated "if you have applied for merit scholarship decision will be made within 2 weeks" I didn't apply for park scholarship as I was an international. I thought for others one would automatically qualify. Am I correct here or did I miss something? R1s and current students kindly advice.
Thanks!

Merit and Park are separate. Under General Information II, there's section on scholarship/ financial aid. Quote from application:

"Scholarship/Financial Aid
Although we offer merit based scholarships, a large number of students finance all or part of their costs with student loans. These questions help us determine your eligibility for federal, private and institutional student loan programs. This section is optional and is not factored into an admission decision.

Would you like to be considered for a merit-based scholarship?"

Under the Essays, there's a part about the Park Fellowship.

Best regards.

Hey, I interviewed just now. The lady who interviewed me, mentioned that my results should be out in 48 hrs. She asked me to write back to them if I do not see a status change by Thursday morning CST.

Calculate 48 working hrs from when you interviewed. May be you will know soon. I hope you get through!! :)

I'm a R3 applicant too...my status on the online application system is still 'submitted', and an email confirming my submission. But that's all and have been waiting for nearly two month...
Pretty weird. Tomorrow is the submission deadline for R3. I hope i can hear any news from Cornell very soon...

Maybe I didn't understand the problem, so correct me if I'm wrong.
It looks like you submitted an application for R3 and still didn't receive any updates, and, if that is the case, well, it is completely fine!
R3 deadline is on Feb the 12th, so they won't even review your application before that date.
Don't freak out! :-D And good luck!

thx for your reply. it really cheer me up.
But there is another problem here. I am an international applicant here. Just now when I was reading the blog at their website, I was so surprised to discover the sentence 'For international candidates in progress to complete their round 3 application, you can schedule a session with our London-based International Recruitment Manager, Charlotte Taylor at crt67@cornell.edu.'. This was posted on Feb 3rd.
Does that mean I need to contact this guy to reserve for a spot as an international applicant?
