My two target schools are Emory and Georgia Tech, both evening programs. Emory states a GMAT 80% Range of 560-720 while GT is 530-680.
Hi mcx and welcome to the wonderful world of MBA admissions What should my target score be for entry? I have always been very challenged by math, so I am concerned about my abilities here and want to be realistic about my scoring abilities.
Your target score depends on several things- including where you want to go and where you are coming from. It sounds like you have somewhat answered your question by posting the range for Emory and GT.
You can see that to be in the best part of the odds- having a GMAT of 680+ will help you. If you score over 700, you become a very strong candidate for both. Your 3.5 is strong too- so if your GMAT was a bit weaker this GPA might help you. In terms of LGBT, most schools do ask about this on the application and while I would not say it gets you "in" I would say it does add to the diversity that schools seek and that you should mention this in the application as I see it only being helpful. But most importantly, have clear career goals, know each school and WHY you want to attend! I've been out of school for ~5 years. I have been employed by two F500 companies since graduation in positions of increasing responsibility. I could also be considered a LGBT diversity candidate if that's a thing?
Thank you.
