Hi Guys

I have been admitted to Kelley with full ride and to Tepper with 10K a year scholarship.
I am having hard time to decide a school due to financial constraints.

What do you think?

Hey SonamVashisht ,

Congratulations for the two great admits.

I would personally prefer Tepper here considering your goals and the brand value Tepper has. Tepper is well know for Tech and your goals and its course will be a good combination.

I know full ride is not easy to reject but you really need to think the post MBA job scenario as well.

Do you think by not spending any penny you will have equal chances or near to equal chances of getting recruited from Kelley?

My suggestion will be talk to current Indian students from both the schools and see what the job scenario is.

If it is same or slightly different, go for Kelley otherwise a strict no to Kelley.

All the best :)

The difference is not worth a full ride. It would be ridiculous if you choose otherwise. Strongly support Kelley here.

If you want to take a risk, why should take it with burden? I would not sacrifice the full ride for Tepper name. Kelley is known for its marketing specialization with high quality marketing academy that prepare you. The career office tries its best to help internationals. The cost of living is way less than New Haven.

Good luck

Hi Sonam,

Congrats on admits to 2 fantastic schools . It really boils down to what u want. Personally I would go with tepper.
1. Excellent analytics curriculum at tepper which is the most sought after today in tech
2. I have visited tepper and the students are awesome! Your class would be extremely diverse.
3. I’ve spoken to some alumni even from Kelley and they all say - networks matter. I believe for a career in tech u will find better opportunities in tepper given they have strong connections in the Bay Area.
4. Finally , and this is completely my opinion, feel free to disagree- I see many students deciding based on outreach of a school or of how social the incoming class would be. Given that these are to be taken into account too - I feel these things shouldn’t be given much importance. Students are the ones who will give you the exact perspective! Talk to as many current students from tepper and Kelley. Am sure u will make a good choice!
