Has everyone mostly been told to provide "updates" ? I was told by my WL manager to provide "any information I didn't include in my app but would like to add". Those seem like different things to me...this is kind of frustrating :)

Has everyone mostly been told to provide "updates" ? I was told by my WL manager to provide "any information I didn't include in my app but would like to add". ...

6 of one, half dozen of another..same thing...you can't possibly expect all WL managers to use the exact same words when speaking with every WL applicant..

That's a good point. My thinking was that an update is anything you've done since the application deadline. Things you didn't get to include in your app could be an EC from college or from say 2009. I suppose anything we send to them is helpful

My WL contact said that I could send an update, such as a promotion, salary update, or any change in responsibilities.
I asked if more recommendation letters from alumni were welcome and he said they weren't.
So no update from my side, and the "little chance on April 16th" was also mentioned.

Question for wailisted applicants...

Did anyone happen to call Kellogg Admisssions today? What information did the admissions office provide? Did they give any feedback or gave an indication what can be done to improve the chances?

I called and was given a point of contact for my application. I haven't had any more communication beyond that.

Same here. I talked with my contact and he told me there was nothing wrong with my app. It was just a matter of waiting to see how they would fill the spots.

I do, and same result. Her voicemail said she was out last week, so I wasn't expecting a response anytime soon.

I left a voicemail with MG Monday April 2nd and have not heard back. I suppose I will email him today though I expect a communication along the lines of, "you're application is complete, you just need to be patient . . . "

I was lucky to get through to my WL manager the first time I called. I'm in the no-more-info-needed bucket but she encouraged me to send in an update by yesterday, which I did (I got a confirmation immediately). She said they are meeting this week to reevaluate the waitlisted folks against R3 applicants (deadline was last week).

I'm curious - was anyone here asked to provide specific information to the committee?

My waitlist manager asked me to submit the update to her and then she replied saying that she has attached it to my original application. I would suggest to call the adcom again if you cannot reach your WL manager -- you never know if there is any additional info. they might need other than the update.
