Hi guys, I am looking to apply to Kellogg and booth but before i do, i am wondering if you guys can evaluate my profile and see if i have changes to get into the weekend MBA program in either of the 2 schools.

Work Experience (5.5years): Worked as an engineering intern at AMD for 16months. After graduating from University, i worked as a developer for 1.2 years and than as a consultant for a year. Currently, i have been working as a Program Manager at Microsoft for past 2 years.

Academics: Graduated with a 3.03 CGPA and 3.73 (4th year) in Computer Engineering.

GMAT: 610 (Q49, V26-27)

Thanks in advance

Gotta get the GMAT up...unfortunately. Mix up your current approach. Esp important bc grades are poor. If Indian, need at least 40 more points.

Consider the following points nitjet:
  1. The profile contours and especially the PM role sounds good. Do you also manage a team and are you pretty fast to PM on a relative basis?
  2. EMBAs typically tend to have a far more senior intake. But that alone will not weed you out as long as you can showcase maturity beyond your years as well as the need for an EMBA instead of say a regular full time one.
  3. The GMAT may not necessarily be an instant dealbreaker. We've seen cases in that range make it to top league; read here. Though it will definitely help; another story here.

Hope this helps some.

Cheers,
