If you're like me, you didn't get a call but received an email saying the status changed on your application and to accept/reject your place on the waitlist. It SEEMS there are some changes in the WL game than years past: in the letter it didn't tell us not to contact them. Rather, it told us to wait until mid-Jan for our WL Manager (now abbrev WM) contact info to be released. I assume we won't need to do anything until then. "When will I receive an update regarding my application status? The Admissions Committee will be rendering admit and deny decisions on a rolling basis between January and August. I had initial call, provided an update letter, sent another very short update email, and had a call after being placed on the summer waitlist to further express my interest. I tried to touch base once every three weeks.

Worked out well anyway, I've tried to do something similar, it's so difficult to navigate the waitlist!

My waitlist manager was Jorge. I found out in the form of a call though I didn't expect the call to be an offer since I'd just sent him an email the day before.

My background is in social impact marketing and business development.

I sent one major update letter several months ago and aside from that have kept in touch once every 3-4 weeks mainly through emails and a few calls.

Hey all,

Just got a call from the admissions office setting up a phone call with Dean Smith for next Monday.

Anyone else get this? I'm local to Chicago so I'm thinking this may follow suit with the earlier PT offers. Glad to have some contact either way...

Not great, she was basically apologizing and saying the class is completely full and that they've enjoyed the opportunity to get to know me through the process. Nice to have closure, but wish it was a different outcome.

Sorry to hear that! Ya it's a rough process. At least they know you're interested for reapplication. Don't know what that means for the rest of us i assume we'll be getting emails over next few days with the same message.

Something to consider I guess... They obviously like you so congrats on the offer. Most of us are going to get no's in the next few weeks. The class is totally full so there won't be any more movement unless somebody drops out, which seems highly unlikely at this point.
