Probably, but I recall someone on this forum saying their friend had an interview and that their portal was updated. Maybe it's happening in slots or something?

Mine is updated to portal updated, but doesnt mention anything

Abdul, do you recall uploading documents and/or test scores after submitting your application? This could be an explanation for the portal update message you have.

Was just going to suggest this. I really don’t think anyone should assume they are rejected or accepted based on their portal being updated if I’m being honest until it specifically says something lol

Actually I've uploaded supplementary documents after submitting my application and I don't have any portal updated statement! Anyway this might be the first slot of interviews getting their portal as interview updated. The people who have their portal updated, could you tell us when you had your interview?

Yeah even I don't think it's related to documentation or actually getting in/getting rejected. I gave my interview on 21, and have not updated any documents on the portal after i submitted my application. So i think its happening as per when you gave your interview.

Do you know what the differences in the portal were for those who got in vs. those who didn’t? I received my interview invite on June 11th but still have no updates on my app.

I had alot of time on my hands and found out that international candidates take up only 32% of the class size but is more atleast 60% of the applicants. Quite disappointed to find that out, odds seem against us.
Just curious what countries are you guys from?

Oh dang! I'm sorry, you guys have it way worse than others. I know Indians and Chinese have the most competitive pool of candidates applying in any international program.

Well, they will probably assign a certain number of seats for Northwestern undergrads. In that regards it may be more competitive for NW students, since they don’t want to over admit from a single institution I’m sure. But when you think about it typically strong students from T10 universities do well with M7 admissions, so it may not be as simple as “we want X amount of students from NW”. However the class is also going to be engineered by majors, gender, race, and geography. Total crapshoot.

I check this forum wayyyyy too many times lol - I feel like it’s a combination of knowing how much more secure my life would be if this worked out / currently not having a job so my mind just wanders back to this / this being the only school where I still have a chance still - anyone have any tips to deal with the anxiety lol
