Thanks a lot for your reply Paul, it's really useful :) and yes, I would definitely need to improve leadership skill.
I know this would depend on one's goal, but just wondering Paul - say if I am really interested in entrepeneurship/marketing, would it be better to aim for say Babson which specifically has a great enterpreneurship program or to aim for school with higher rank eg: Duke which possibly would have better programs overall?
Also, do you know which top-rank schools are more cooperative & less competitive Paul? (I think I would perform / learn better in this environment)

mochi_1182,

I personally would go to a school that has a stronger brand than Babson but also has a strong entrepreneurial program, such as USC, Michigan, Texas, Haas, Indiana. That way you are hedging your bets if for some reason entrepreneurship does not turn out to be your only future.

Competitiveness is a subjective thing, but schools like Duke, Kellogg, Tuck, and Wharton stand out in my mind as having created uncompetitive environments. I'm sure there are several others, of course.

Good luck,

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your helpful input - yes it's true that it would be safer to apply for a better school. Should start learning GMAT soon :)
By the way Paul, do you know which one is better in placing graduates for employment in Asia Pacific region - US B-school or European B-school? Thanks in advance :)

mochi_1182,

As a general rule, U.S. schools are stronger at placing MBAs in Asia Pacific jobs because they are directly part of that Pacific Rim market, while Europe is not. Asia Pacific nationals also comprise a larger percentage of U.S. schools on average than they do in European programs. However, the student bodies of the following European schools--York, Oxford, Rotterdam, and Manchester--have very large Asian components and are in the "top 10" internationally in the size of their Asian student population.
