The absolute best thing you can do is to excel in the workplace: do things that aren't in your job description, take on new responsibilities, find a solution to a problem that no one else has solved... These things are super critical signs of leadership and professional potential, and applicants overlook them. That will help you more than anything. B-schools want to admit stars... Show them you're a star at work.

Because of your age (i.e., years of experience), I think a top-ten school may be tough. Fuqua and McCombs are two to look at, in terms of access to non-profit and/or tech opportunities, and being willing to be a little more forgiving, age-wise.
