Hello Everybody, 22 year old recent Humanities graduate here. My goal is to do an MBA, I have recently been approached with an option to apply to a very good law program here in Canada. It is ranked 4th in the country, it is relatively selective but I think I have a good shot at getting in. How do MBA programs view law school graduates? If I take this route it would likely only take me 2 years to complete the degree then I would like to work for another 3 years post BAR exam, possibly in a corporate law setting. Any opinions and advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
From what we have seen B-schools basically LOVE lawyers (obviously you have to be from good schools, good firms etc). It requires so much work and study to gain the law insight, and for obvious reasons, law is extremely valuable in business, and few managers will have this law background.
It will take a long time to get there, which is nice because it is also long enough to take time to think.
