Hi
I am a 23 year old Indian working in an IT consultancy firm. I completed my Bachelors in Engineering from BIT Mesra ranchi, India (amongst top 15 schools of engineering in India). Let me describe my job profile:
I have been working on Decision Support Systems in my firm. We have been developing Business Models and implementing them with our clients. My job concerns mainly with Statistics and Business Models. However, in the long run of 1.5 years(since i've started working), I have realized the need for an MBA because of the problem i face in making better Business Models. The primary reason is lack of domain knowledge. The course for which i will apply for an MBA will be Decision Sciences. Although most US universities do not have a good course to offer in this field, I found UK universities to be more viable!
My UnderGrad GPA is average and, In my UnderGrad days, I was the president of the local IEEE student chapter and besides I was very active in other extracurriculars as well. I have displayed leadership as well being the President of the IEEE local student chapter(leading teams of 70-80 people). As in at my work also, I have lead many small projects successfully with team size varying from 5-6.
Short Term Goal- Working in the same area of Decision Support systems post MBA.
Long term Goal- Starting my own company to provide consultancy through Decision Support Systems.
My GMAT score is 740 and i am planning to apply for Fall 09.
I just want to know if this profile, with the kind of GMAT score i have, is good enough to apply in the IVY league.
