No of friends attend party = 2/3 * 45 = 30
No.of friends who left party = 1/3 * 30 = 10

No of friends stayed till end = 30-10 = 20

We see that 2/3 x 45 = 30 friends attend and 1/3 x 30 = 10 friends leave early. Thus, 20 friends stay until the end of the party.

Answer: C

If x=45,
we have been asked to find
\(\frac{2x}{3} - \frac{1}{3}(\frac{2x}{3}) => \frac{2x}{3} - \frac{2x}{9} = \frac{4x}{9} = \frac{4*45}{9} = 20\)

Therefore, 20 of Louis's friends still till the end of his birthday party (Option C)
