Can you provide a more detailed explaination?

Hope it helps.

Combining A and B:
1 angle is 30 degrees, other should be 150 degrees.
Also 1 side is a and the other is a + 2

If there are 2 sides and included angle the 3rd side that is the diagonal can be found as
d1^2 = a^2 + (a+2)^2 - 2*a*(a+2)cos30

Similarly,
d2^2 = a^2 + (a+2)^2 - 2*a*(a+2)cos150

d1^2 - d2^2 = 2*a*(a+2)*(cos 150-cos30) = 2*a*(a+2) * (-2cos30)

This varies as "a" varies. So we can assume that the difference of the actual lengths will also vary based on "a".
