I think this is a poor-quality question and I don't agree with the explanation. Can anyone explain this? x <1.5 and x<3. And x is a positive integer which means 0<x<3 and the only value integer satisfying this is x=1 so it should be A?

If you don't understand the question, it doesn't mean it's of poor quality. The question is absolutely fine. On the other hand, your statement " x <1.5 and x<3. And x is a positive integer which means 0<x<3 and the only value integer satisfying this is x=1 so it should be A?" doesn't make sense and is incorrect. You could easily verify this by plugging in x = 1 into the inequality—does it hold true? No, so x cannot be 1. As explained in the solution, the inequality holds for 1.5 < x < 3, so x = 2. You might want to brush up on the fundamentals before practicing questions.
