Hello!
My name is Anna and I would like to kindly ask you to evaluate my profile for a Master in Management. And sorry for the long post!
I am a 26 year old German female with 3 years of work experience in the hotel industry.
I have graduated in 2013 with a double degree from César Ritz Colleges Switzerland and Washington State University, both of which are quite well known in the hospitality industry.
I have a CGPA of 3,82 out of 4 in both of my Bachelors of Arts in International Hospitality Business Management. In addition, I achieved the award for highest CGPA at graduation of my intake.
My work experience includes a 12-month management training at Hyatt Hotels France. At the end of this program, the hotel created a position as a Revenue Analyst for me as I was particularly interested in revenue optimization and analytics.
After one year, Hyatt created a Revenue Management Cluster for its French Hotels and I was promoted Cluster Revenue Analyst. In this positions I am analyzing the market as a whole, creating tools and reports and covering the hotels in the absence of the Revenue Manager.
I also have done 2 six-month internships in very prestigious 5-star hotels.
I have just received the results of my GMAT test: 660, 79th percentile (44 Verbal 98th percentile, 36 quant, 33rd percentile, IR 7 82nd percentile, AWA 5,5 81st percentile).
I prepared a lot for quant but on test day I had a blackout and did not manage my time as well as in previous mocks at home. I am planning on doing the Test again in 6 weeks and hope to improve my score by 40 points.
My profile is quite international: high school exchange year in Québec, Canada, Studies and internship in Switzerland and 3 years of work experience in France.
I know that International exposure is quite valued at the MiM programs. I speak German, English (Toefl 119/120) and French fluently and have basic knowledge in spanish.
I am planning on switching sectors after my Master's degree, but am not yet quite sure in which direction I want to go.
This is why I am planning to apply to an MiM, because the curriculum is usually quite broad in the first year and allows for specialization in year 2.
How would you rate my chances of getting accepted into University of St Gallen, HEC Paris, ESSEC Business School, University of Rotterdam or ESADE Business School?
I am focusing on the European schools for the moment and hope to apply by R2 / R3.
Many thanks in advance for your help!
Have a lovely day
