Hi All,
I'm currently trying to decide when to apply to b-school and would very much appreciate any constructive feedback. I'm deciding between applying in the Fall of 2012 or the Fall of 2013. If 2012, I would have about 45 months of WE (age 27) upon matriculation whereas applying in 2013 would give me 57 months of WE (age 28). Everything I've read and heard seems to suggest 4-5 years of WE is ideal (for the schools I'm targeting) which would indicate I should wait until 2013. The problem is I'm very eager to ship out to b-school and would love to apply next year if that wouldn't materially effect my chances of admission.
What would you guys do in this situation?

Why are you so stuck up on the number of years. Just apply when you are ready. Looking at your experience and a 770 GMAT score, I'd suggest you just go ahead and apply. Unless you are getting an opportunity at work that will significantly affect your application, one year is not going to make a big difference. Let your eagerness to enter B-school remain and make it worth. Apply to a B-school of your choice in this cycle and not wait for another year just to add to the number.

One more will not really make that much of a difference. What will make a difference is if you are gonna get a huge promotion, and all of a sudden you will manage ten people, or something like that. Is it the right time for you in your life to apply? Then go for it!
