Hello everyone. I'm currently done with my 3 years of B.TECH at IIT Hyderabad. I am interested to do MBA after my B.Tech.
I wanted to is it good to an internship in a startup in my 3rd year summer? Or is it good to do a any project under one of my professors in my institute?
Please help me in deciding.

Anirudh1997,
Thanks for your query.
We quite agree with the responses above

A lot will depend on which option you foresee as the one that will give you more achievements and talking points.
Prima facie, the project under your professor would be more to do with technical research, whereas the start-up will allow you to work with limited resources, give you some exposure to business practices, and team-skills. Thus, the start-up role may better align with your future goal of pursuing an MBA and is therefore recommended. Again, do not confine yourself to a single internship. Look out for as many avenues to contribute and that will help build your profile.
All the best!

Hello everyone! Thanks for your replies.
The project which I'm talking about depends upon operations, strategy and supply chain management.
The role in the startup is related to something kind of sales.
And I feel learning something in deep about operations and strategy would be better rather working as a sales guy and in a growing startup.
What's your opinion on this?
And what's the scope of MIM and MIS programs? Would that better to choose over MBA right after my B.Tech?
