Hi,

I would like to know my odds at the following schools:
LBS
Columbia
Chicago Booth
H/S/W(just for fun )

Indian, Male,24, GMAT:740
Education Qualification:
Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (All India Rank 23 and 12 in IPCC and Final Level)
Cleared all 3 levels of CFA
Undergrad from St. Xavier's, Kolkata with CGPA of 8.0/10 (top 5%)

Work Exp.
2.5 years of Work Ex at a FMCG major as part of Corporate Finance and Project Management team(2nd promotion due)
3 years internship experience (as a part of my Chartered accountancy course) at EY in Auditing and Assurance

Extras:
Part of Debate Club in High School & College(Winner of various inter school and inter college debates)
Won a couple of inter college(conducted at all India level) management simulation competitions.

Post MBA: To transition into management consulting

P.S. I am planning to apply next year
Are my target school realistic ?Should I include any other schools in my list?
Any improvement suggestions(I am particularly concerned about extras)?

Hi iamdeva,

Thank you for your post and for sharing your profile. Because you belong to an overrepresented body of candidates, you should think of your profile in relation to that. You will compete with peers who have a similar background, therefore, take the time (in the next year) to develop your profile. One way you can improve your profile is by retaking the GMAT and add another 10+ point. You can strengthen your extracurricular/community involvement, and also look at academic opportunities that can demonstrate to these top global institutions you can handle the rigor. Of course, you want to be strategic, so include things that would improve your profile wholistically.
