Welcome back and interesting post!
I think one of the questions you need to answer in your application is how you’re planning to use an MBA if you already have a PhD.
This is one of the challenges of admission… not so much a personal decision.
In terms of your choice, it’s really up to you if you want to spend another two years or 12 months in school. I think you have a decent chance and would likely catch and I have a number of recruiters after business school. However, I feel that MBA it’s kind of Leica step towards a certain goal or direction. And I feel we should only make steps move into direction when you know where you want to travel. You don’t really ask if making a left turn is a good idea without knowing if you’re going to Paris or Berlin. I feel it would be important to figure out what you want to accomplish and your career goals before answering the question if business school is the right choice after a PhD. It’s very well may be… but in general, especially in Europe, I feel the ROI is not as significant.
