I have 5 years experience in retail banking (Bachelors in Engg.) in India. After a considerable amount of research I assume this area is not so popular or preferable among the US business schools? However I am quite determine to further my study in the US and would really appreciate if you can inform me about the schools that would not discriminate based on my non-traditional work experience?
P.S. My first GMAT score is 710 (Q49,V38) but will be retaking the test soon, quite positive about getting a score around 750.
Hey,
I don't see any non-traditional thing about your work ex. A lot of candidates pursue Finance/Banking after engineering (if that is what you mean). Further, I do not think that B-schools discriminate based on any off-beat work ex. However, since you've done some research, I'd love to hear more about your point of view and source of info. I'm doing a promo where I'm helping candidates (free of charge) to shortlist the 5 schools you enter in your GMAT exam. So that you can save on $35 for each additional score report. If you're interested you can fill out the form and schedule an appointment.

Rest assured I don't think there will be any discrimination against you.
