Got the e-mail too! So excited. Came in at 7pm CST, well after I had given up for the day on being notified. Mine was the same message as the other recipients.

I can't imagine they let everyone know tonight though, simply because it seems like it's been staggered everywhere else I've seen (R1, last year, many other schools).

A big congrats to all who received the email tonight.

So in addition to welcoming you, I read an earlier post saying something about how the email indicated you would receive another (official) notice on Friday? Or did I misread that.

For some reason, I thought most schools called with the news. I'm admittedly a rookie at this, but I had somehow set the expectation that only non-admit info was communicated via email.

Greetings!

Though it is Monday and a gloomy day here in Austin, I thought I would share with you some good news! It is with a great deal of pleasure that I inform you that we would like to offer you admission to the McCombs School of Business.

This email is purely a note to wish you congratulations, and encourage you to let me know if you have any questions at all. The decision and deposit deadline for Round 2 applicants is April 18th, 2013, so you have plenty of time to think over your options. However, we are confident that we are the perfect school for you, and if you have any questions, I, one of my colleagues, or a student will be happy to help you out—just let me know.

NEXT STEPS:
· The email offer will be sent out: February 15th

· Electronic Response Deadline Due for Enrollment: APRIL 18th

· You should receive an offer packet in the mail in the coming weeks.

If you’re curious about scholarships, stay tuned—we will be getting that information out to you in the next couple of weeks.

One final note: look out for information on Preview Weekend, April 4th-6th. Once you are sent access to the Admitted Student website, there will be a wealth of information on this event there. Got invited to an interview! I'm going to have to scour the thread for some information, but how often do they open up on campus interview slots? I'd like to go to campus to have my interview instead of relying on Skype, but right now the only two dates that are open are tomorrow and Thursday. Seeing as I need a plane ticket to get down there, I'd like a little bit more advance notice.
