Had my interview today in Austin with a second year student. Really nice guy, felt more like a conversation. I would say the key is preparation. I did several mock interviews and rehearsed answers to numerous questions. Also, not sure if this means anything but when I received the invite, I had a three week window to select a date. Today was the second to last day to choose from.

This also means that if they aren't out by next week, there is little reason to believe that we'd get them..since they would want to give at least as much time to the applicants to schedule their interviews as they did in the first wave..

Maybe they do conduct interviews after the interview period, on a case by case basis. If interviews were only conducted only during the allotted interview period, I don't think they would mention that interviews can take place at any time before the deadline notification.

Hi all

I am a Consortium candidate and we just got an e-mail stating they have had a few system issues, but that the invitation e-mail will be sent out by the end of this week for the majority of the candidates.

I am not sure if that is just for the consortium candidates or for all of them though.

1. Approximately what percentage of students who interview are given offers of admission?
2. Do all admissions notifications go out on December 20th? (I noticed in last year's thread some students received phone calls a week ahead of time.)

1. There is no set percentage of students interviewed to be offered admission as the applicant pool changes every year and this ratio changes with it.
2. December 20th is just the latest date that one would hear. It is possible to be notified before this deadline.
3. Scholarships will typically be sent with an offer for admission.

Hey,

Had my interview (skype 2nd year student) a couple of weeks ago but did not provide debrief. Went something like this:

- Interviewer tells me about herself
- Asks me about myself
- Walk me through your resume
- Why MBA?
- Why now?
- Why McCombs?
- What have you done to learn about McCombs (I have been to austin but did not formally visit the school)
- Long term goals/ Short term goals (obvious that she only saw my resume think she may have told me that also)
- Tell me about a time where you had to step outside of your comfort zone?
- Tell me about a leadership experience where you learned something about yourself?

All I can remember for now (it was 2 weeks ago). Incredibly conversational and casual. We joked around a bunch too.
