Are you guys Indian male engineers? If so, tough to get through McCombs regardless of score. Have to distinguish yourself somehow, demonstrate fit, etc

Yes, i fall into that category(Male IT Engineer) but i though my employer will distinguish it as i work for Microsoft, Fuqua also got rejection but didn’t apply for KF and Darden. So this year applying again with GMAT

Wow, maybe I will submit tomorrow then. Just to have a buffer

but Monday is a US holiday so that complicates things. That I probably why the deadline is Tuesday

I am requesting official transcripts be sent from my school to McCombs now just in case

They don't need the official transcript, just need a PDF uploaded. They do require your test scores to be sent though.

Also, being a male Indian engineer is hard for every school, not just McCombs. Without a differentiator or crazy scores/GPA/Undergrad or work ex prestige, T15s / 25s are anyway a no-go for my crowd. But you gotta shoot your shot and see what sticks. You never know

I was thinking the same thing as you last year- my name brand company would help me stand out but was rejected from all. Think McCombs has a test preference?

We are not having access to upload the transcripts in the Mystatus page without application fee.
But what if we are waiting for the waiver?

Did you submit today? Looks like "Your application fee invoice will be available 1-2 business days after application submission". So hopefully once that invoice is processed they will apply the waiver

I am waiting on the same

Submitted today and waiting on waiver. Isn’t it crazy how they ask for transcripts in the application itself and then also within a formal mystatus page?

Application portal states that it may take 7 to 10 days for the waiver to process. In next 7 days we will miss the deadline right ?
And in the mystatus page it is clearly stating that the transcripts must be submitted to GIAC before deadline

Did you receive any emails saying that you were eligible for the waiver? I received an application reminder email a week ago saying please apply by Oct 11 you have a fee waiver

“Reminder to Use Your App Fee Waiver + Application Resources” Was the subject

My understanding is that you need to have an official transcript issued to yourself and then you need to upload to your application and GCIC. If your school uses the Parchment credential assembly service- you can get this almost instantly for $10

But if admitted you need to arrange for official transcripts to be sent from your school to McCombs directly

Anyone get their fee waiver approved?

McCombs seems to be the only school that has this transcript policy. At every other school I uploaded unofficial transcripts with no issue

Isn’t any transcript issued by the institute official?
