Hiya thx for the response

Yes i have got the mgmat guides and have been through them, they are very good.
I have practised on areas of weakness and i thought i'd run through the mgmt test 1 just to see new questions.
Sadly i found that it took me a while to break the question down into what it was really asking and then to use the correct approach. I then found that my approach broke down along the way.

I seem to have either forgotten or got confused on how to do certain things.

I need to improve finding and applying the correct approach when i seeing a new question fast. How do i become more efficient at this???

I have been through stacy's how to guides from mgmat also.

What should i do

Practice is the key man... Have you solved all the problems from the official guide? Do you maintain an error log for all the problems that you do?

Hi Guys
I have just had a look at mgmat test 1 and found most of it very difficult. Could someone please let me know what level questions these are??

Once i reviewed and looked at the answers in most cases i knew what was going on but whats disturbing is that i didnt recognise to do that in the first place.

PLease help with advice and your experience.

Many thx

Have you gone through the "generate report" section of the tests? You can find some very useful analytics of your performance there..

I got low scores in my first and second CAT too.... but I am still in the beginner stage and so I am trying to keep an error log and also practice more questions, as well give CATs atleast once every two weeks.

Hey, I have a doubt in MGMAT Quants Test 1 Question 6

The question is
s (x-2)^2>x^2
1.x^2>x
2.1/x>0

I was wondering why 2nd statement is not sufficient. Because 1/x>0 => x<0 which implies x<1. Hence isnt it sufficient to prove the given (x-2)^2>x^2

The step in bold italics above is incorrect. You reciprocated zero..which essentially means 1/0..which is infinity...so not possible!
