I'm in Central Time. It was the Director of LGO and the Director of LGO Admissions on the phone.

They told me my scholarship amount would be disclosed in tomorrow's email. Did they tell you yours over the phone?

Just got the admit call!! (1pm ET)

So Happy for you ADC4! Since you asked, I am now slightly inclining towards LGO cz they offered max scholarship and Stanford doesn't have any. The rest of the factors stay the same. I'll decide soon I think.

LgoLady, did you get a follow up call today? Got one 11 am PT. Like 10 min ago.

I just got a call from the director. And no scholarship because I didn't apply for it. My employer is an LGO sponsor and I am fully funded.

Maxed out scholarship as in Noyce Fellowship?

No, I didn't get the Noyce fellowship cz I am ineligible. I dont work in the semiconductor business. I got the full LGO fellowship (tuition and stipend) and an Alumini scholarship(tuition). By max, I meant, I got the max scholarship I was eligible for. You can get a fellowship and only one of the scholarships.

Does anyone else hope GradQueen chooses Stanford?? Everyone else seems cool. Good luck with your decisions.

GradQueen is a little toolish...I can see why you feel that way.

Maybe she isn't as mature as the rest of us yet. Maybe a little too bold but women need to be that way today, especially in the Tech industry. I also have no doubt she is totally brilliant to have gotten into both those programs at 24 (if I remember correctly); contrastingly, I am 29 and I have two children. Kinda really puts into perspective the diversity the adcom has chosen. I hope she really chooses LGO, cz we could definitely learn from each other. And the female population of the class does need a boost from the recent years.

azz90d, This forum is not the place for such insults and rubbish that you posted, while it is definitely the place for the kind of information, concerns and anxiety she shared. Maybe its just your lack of confidence in your own candidacy. Still, I wish you all the luck.

windsor1007, I am pretty sure its not alphabetically cz I know the names of at least 3 people who got in and it seems random.

Whether that's Stanford or not. I'm preparing myself to have to do this all over again. Hopefully the school will pick me next year? Maybe?

There's still time, but I'm so nervous.

Also, about how long are the calls? I have a meeting with a client, and don't know if I will need to reschedule if I get a call or not.

Haha, you do what you feel is right.

I can't imagine it being terribly long.

You seem like a good guy with clear sense of direction and I hope it doesn't come to this, but I do know of students who had to apply 3 times to get into LGO, so nothing wrong it that.
