I got in :D:D Got the call around 10am EST yesterday but was traveling and couldn't log in to post via mobile for some reason. No financial aid package disclosed yet though - hope that one work out.

Hopeful2018 - I've heard they made majority of the admit calls on the day of decision last year (from an LGO student), so I'd stay hopeful :)

Gradqueen, LgoLgady, Novak, ADC4 - Congrats everyone guys! Count me in with the lab :) and well-put, LGOLady - Gradqueen's gotta be hella smart.

Haha, you do what you feel is right. :) Whether that's Stanford or not. I'm preparing myself to have to do this all over again. Hopefully the school will pick me next year? Maybe?

There's still time, but I'm so nervous.

Also, about how long are the calls? I have a meeting with a client, and don't know if I will need to reschedule if I get a call or not.

I can't imagine it being terribly long.

You seem like a good guy with clear sense of direction and I hope it doesn't come to this, but I do know of students who had to apply 3 times to get into LGO, so nothing wrong it that.
Thank you for this encouragement. If it's not meant to be next year, I'm not applying again. It's hard enough looking at a potential 2nd rejection, let alone a 3rd from my dream school.

I thought I gained so much more experience this year... It's really boggling my mind. :/

i'm sorry if anything i said upset you. i generally do not like hearing people complain about what i think are excellent prospects - like gradqueens...so I thought it was insensitive to say that. I went to decent schools too (think HYP) but do not brag about it on an online forum or compare it with MIT.

And yes I am sensitive about my candidacy. Hang in there Hopeful 2018, I was in your shoes last year. I interviewed at LGO but did not get accepted. and i remember the anxiety. it's a horrible feeling. but it's not over till it's over. so don't lose hope :-)

From what I've heard, they sometimes have to wait to hear back from the respective engineering department (sometimes they might think you're a better fit for another dept etc.), financial aid and of course, location. I think they take internationals in the morning to make up for the time zone. Part of it might just be random.
