Dear Hopeful2018,

Thank you for your application to the MIT Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program. The Admissions Committee carefully considered your application, and we regret to inform you that we cannot offer you a place in the upcoming class.

While the small size of our program offers advantages to both students and faculty, it creates an extremely difficult selection process. Our Admissions Committee must chose from a large pool of talented individuals.

We realize this news comes as a disappointment. Unfortunately, due to the large number of applications, we do not provide individual feedback on your application. But please accept our best wishes for your future endeavors.

Sincerely,

Thomas Roemer
Executive Director, MIT Leaders for Global Operations

P.S. If you applied through MIT Sloan, you will automatically be considered for the MBA Round 2 admissions to the full-time Sloan MBA program. Final decisions will be released by Sloan on April 3, 2017.

Got a "no".

Best luck of luck to everyone. On the plus side I hope I'll get into the regular Sloan program ;-)

Ding in the portal
Same. It's hard to read again... :'(

Same here. LGO re-applicant here as well, but I didn't get interviewed either time so at least you had that going for ya!

I may - it will be my third time. I was interviewed last year - but at that point I had only had about a year of work experience, and wasn't interviewed this year. Hopefully next year is better. Best of luck to you if you do reapply.

Official ding now for me as well. Hopeful2018 - I'm so so sorry. Because I already knew about my ding, I feel like it stings worse hearing about yours today :(

I'll be trying in the next year or two after I work on a few things in my application.

Well, Im usually not one to rub it in, but I'm glad I won't have to see a loser like you at LGO.

Haha. Well judging from your undergraduate GPA, I'm guessing you didn't get in on your merits. And based on the way you talk on this forum, I don't think you'll make too many friends regardless of where you go.

I'd love to know what magical formula of sub-par GPA, narcissism, and insecurity would qualify me to get into LGO -- clearly it worked for you. (And to clarify, I don't think those characteristics apply to the majority of LGO applicants :))

Wow I would definitely be avoiding you if I were starting this summer. ddtmm wasn't classy either, but he won't have to spend two years with other people on this forum.

Clearly the LGO Admissions committee does not read these forums. I can't remember the last time someone used the word "Loser." What is this high school?[/quote]

Well, there's only one female Stanford undergrad on the LGO AdMIT list, so it's not hard to figure out who it is :p
