Can someone please explain why not (C)?
(C) Most of the gold mines that Moradco operates are not located in Velyena.
Take a reverse of C-
Most of the gold mines that Moradco operates are located in Velyena.
Now suppose Moradco has a total of 5 gold mines and 3 gold mines are there in Velyena. Along with it, suppose there are 30 non gold mines as well in Velyena.
-Now Notice our argument is still true, check out the 1st line of argument now,
"Most of the mines that Moradco operates in the province of Velyena have never violated environmental regulations"
Out of 33 mines in veleyena, only 3 violated regulations.
But if you will reverse the d option, the argument will break down. Try it.
(D) Most of the mines that Moradco operates in Velyena are not gold mines.
Reverse- Most of the mines that Moradco operates in Velyena are gold mines. Therefore most mines in velyena should violated environmental regulations. But this contradicts the 1st line of statement.
