I have started giving my preps and I am getting a score of around 650 every time. What score do I need if I want to apply to the top 10 colleges in USA for Ms in Business Analytics? Also, which are the top 10 for the same?

All You Wanted to Know About the Best MBA programs in Analytics

Almost every MBA program today has a course or two focusing on Big Data and Analytics. However, a few schools lead the pack in terms of offering deeper study, more courses, and even majors in the area of Analytics. Increasingly, more schools are investing in Business Analytics and developing the capability for research and teaching in the area. The Economist mentions that Yale, Wharton, and Kelley have all invested in creating research centers focusing on Big Data, and they are not the only ones. For example, HEC Paris has teamed up with IBM to offer two new courses focusing on Analytics.

Opportunities across sectors

Before Analytics and Big Data became a phenomenon, there was just one sector that attracted professionals from across industries – Consulting. Now, whether you have a background in Finance or in Marketing, HR, or Operations, you can find positions that will value your skills in the broad domain of Analytics.

Analytics is big business – and big business is using Analytics

Large firms across sectors today have Data Analysis / Big Data divisions specifically looking only at the numbers. From large retailers (Target, Tesco, Walmart), to Financial Services firms (all big banks, capital markets firms, insurance firms), Consulting firms (Strategy, Operations, and....READ ALL ABOUT MBA IN ANALYTICS HERE

hi ashish01: For MS in analytics look at Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon, UT McCombs, U Minn (Carlson), Michigan State. You may also want to look at MBA programs also however because the MBA offers options for data analytics as well as this degree may have more cache' in the long term.
The stats for entry are on par with competitive MBA programs- for example UT McCombs class profile for MS in Business Analytics has a 3.6 GPA and 719 GMAT. Some of the programs would have a little lower but again this is something to consider if you want to go MBA or MSBA route. In either case, your employment prospects are great in this field! Hi GyanOne,

I have more than 9 years of experience in oracle database and recently got 590 in my GMAT. I want to pursue masters in data science or in business analytics.
Can you please suggest some good schools and colleges with my profile and score I can target on.

Hi ashish01,
Masters programs in Business Analytics teach students business related created data analysis, as well as how one can apply the insights and results from business analytics into real business settings. The value of the data degree is studying subjects covered in an MBA — finance, accounting, marketing, human resources — but from a data-driven perspective.
