I was admitted to both program. Carlson's program is pretty new; it was launched in Fall 2016 whereas Smith's has been there for a while. Both program is academically rigorous, Carlson's program is more quantitative and involves computational finance though.
What are your views on which program has better career prospect for international student? I aim for investment banking or Big 4 consulting after graduation.

As an intentional, I advise to go for well established program. I mean in your case Maryland. But have you seen the employment report for international placement in the IB or consulting? if not, so you need to check out or contact current students.
