Hi Linda,
I just took the GMAT today. Scored 630 (Q:47, V:29). I have about 3 years of work experience in the Investment Banking/Finance sector. I also have a MS degree in computer science from a top engineering school in the US. My work experience includes mostly IT related work but my latest experience focusses more on the financial aspect in the industry. My GPA has been consistent at 3.5. I was very keen on attending B school sometime soon but am a bit taken aback after my GMAT performance.
I am not sure if I stand a chance in the schools I wanted to apply to. Harvard, and other top 10 schools I guess would be ruled out now because of my GMAT score. I strongly wanted to consider UCLA or Sterns NYU. Do you think I could give it a shot and go ahead and apply to these schools?
Is the GMAT score a primary factor when I apply to these schools?
I will be very thankful if you could provide me with some advise on this.
