Haven't taken the GMAT yet but have scored a decent 96%le in CAT 2018. 2 years of work ex in family run hospital, trustee of an NGO, working in hospital and female education. CGPA of 7.2 with 10th and 12th of 89 and 79 respectively. Is it possible for me to receive offers from 5-20? What kind of a gmat score will I need to get into the same? TIA.

Hello randhir1,

720+ would be a decent score if your planning to apply for top 20 B schools across the globe. Working for family business would turn out be bright side on your profile if you are able to show adcom how your initiates and ideas have helped in growing business. Your EC's will surely help to drag the attention of schools to get a positive response for getting to admit.

Thanks for your query.

Most business schools value entrepreneurial experience and it is definitely possible for you to receive offers from the top 20 programs provided you have a convincing story in place (with a logical set of career goals); yes the GMAT score will be very important as well; you must target a score upwards of 730 for you to stand a good chance; the higher the score, the better it will be.
