Hello all,

Currently, I am working in the automotive industry. I have 3 years of experience and I got dual master degrees. Here is my profile,

Bachelors (Mechanical) GPA - 6/10 ( Many D grades, few C grades and 2 A grades)
Masters (Physics) GPA - 6/10 (got E grade in 6 courses, D in 6 courses)
That is an integrated degree program. There are no personal/family/health reasons for my poor grades, I was just lazy and didn't attend classes and exams.

After graduation, I came to the US and finished my masters in mechanical engineering
Master (Mechanical) GPA - 3.6/4 (All A's and B's)

I got 323 in my GRE (gave GRE in 2012) and I am confident that I can get similar or better score if I write GRE again.

With such low bachelors GPA and with so many E and D grades, will any good university even look at my application? Will my masters GPA help my application? I want to get into top-tier universities, is it achievable? My company will pay for my MBA fee if I can get into Ross school of business.

Is this a fool's dream or is there any scope for me?

I got 323 in my GRE (gave GRE in 2012) and I am confident that I can get similar or better score if I write GRE again. This GRE if using the standard GRE converter that schools use: https://www.ets.org/gre/institutions/ab ... rison_tool puts your 323 GRE-- assumed 162 Q and 161 V to get the 323-- that is a 670 estimated GMAT score-- which is on the low side if you have your sights set on Ross. The masters will help-- those ug grades are not helpful. Given that your undergrad record has some wrinkles in it, it would be awesome to have an above avg GMAT or GRE-- and by above avg-- I mean-- even ABOVE what the school publishes as the avg as students from India who are admitted likely have a higher GMAT or GRE avg than the numbers the school reports. Now if you can apply with company sponsorship-- THAT DOES CARRY SOME WEIGHT in many programs. Not sure how Ross views it-- but if it is verified then it makes you a bit more low risk in that they know you will be a placement success story. However, as sometimes people say that on the front end-- but then want to go through recruiting still-- or somehow it does not work so programs can be skeptical of these claims unless verified in recommendations. If you broaden your school list a bit, you may find what you seek.
