Good question but I am not sure i have a good answer for you. The Trump regime is in its early stages so I doubt there is truly any good data to confirm the assumption you listed above. There just has not been enough time given he has only been in office a few months. One thing I will say though is whether real or perceived there is an increased feeling of uncertainty related to many things in the U.S especially related to international business and the treatment of non-Americans. i would focus on scoring as well as you can on the GMAT and then re-evaluating what your options are. Do you actually want to work in the U.S if so you will have to make some tough decisions, but ultimately you still will want to apply to schools in the area closest to where you want to work (and can secure the ability to work)
