Hi ,
I have been considering to appear for GMAT exam soon , and right now i am working in a reputed MNC as a software engineer . I don't love this job , so i was planning to take up a job in a private coaching institute as a full time teacher .
I wanted to know what could be the negative repercussions of this plan .
Will this improve my profile or will work in just the opposite direction ??

It honestly all depends on the transferable skills that you have vs. those that you need relative to your ST goal. Read some of my responses below and you will see me go into this in great detail, but the punchline is that your job title/description on paper pales in comparison to whether you have acquired the skills necessary to land (and then succeed in) the job you say you want when you graduate from business school. It's never as simple or reductive as "should I do A or B?" It's more like: "if you are advancing towards your objective from a skills and experiences standpoint + *you can articulate that in your essays* then do whatever is best for you and your life at the moment."

Make sense?

Best,
