Also to add,i am applying with a 630 score(Q39,V37) to cornell,NUS and emory by month end.I will be retaking GMAT and sending the updated scores by 1st week of feb(provided they are higher).I have 4.5 years of work ex as a SAP Energy consultant in Accenture.Won 2 international competitions and also have good extra curriculars.
I have spoken to the admissions team and they are ok with it.Am i acting too ambitious?
Do you think this is a good plan? Also, last year i had applied to cornell using gre score(now expired) but got rejected after interview.
Should i be changing everything in the essays and select new recommeders or stick to those recommenders and make few changes in essays?
Thanks,
Shreeraj
I do think you are being overly ambitious with your applications to Cornell and Emory. Obviously, if you raise your GMAT before they review your file, that new score could change my assessment.
Two reasons NOT to reuse the essays:
1) If they didn't work last year why should they work this year.
2) Schools want to admit people who 1) take the application process seriously and 2) are growing, dynamic individuals. If you submit the same thing, where's the growth? They won't see it.
You may reuse he recommenders, but I recommend against reusing the recommendations.
