Hi,

I have offers from Ross and KF.
Not sure whether i should spend 50 lacs and go to US. Dont want to stay in US for more than 3 years.
Pretty scared seeing the current job market .

Suggestions invited from Accepted.com team

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm not sure what 50 lacs is. I assume it's the cost of tuition for a US MBA program translated in to Indian currency. A lot of money.

This is a personal decision and a tough one. Pundits and experts who know a whole lot more than I do about the economy have obviously been very wrong over the last several years and you are asking me to predict what will be in three years. Clearly I can't. I have, however, lived through several recessions including a couple of nasty ones while serving as an admissions consultant. In the past, those who applied to bschool when the economy was tanking or after it had just tanked graduated when it was on the upswing. Clearly, I don't know if that's going to happen this time. And when it's on the upswing, companies are also much more willing to hire workers from abroad, which would enable you to repay your loans but probably not within 3 years.

Best,
Linda
