Undergrad - B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (from a decent university in my state in India), 8.01(in a scale of 10).
Work Experience:
Full time - 3 years as a Software Engineer/Sr. Software Engineer/ IT Consultant. Since my graduation in 2006 I have been working Cognizant Technology Solutions, a leading IT firm based in USA, to the capacity of a Software Developer. In the course of my work I have taken various responsibilities such as software development, business and requirement analysis, client meetings, project estimation and mentoring.
I have single handedly executed projects by interacting directly with client. Been successful in convincing client about certain improvisations for their current applications.Received lot of accolades from client.
GMAT:
640: Q - 46 (76%), V - 31 (58%)
EC :
Completed basic level course in Japanese language.Participated in speech contest in Japanese. Got many awards in music competitions in state and current organisation.
Contribute to open source software communities. Train the new comers in various technologies in Cognizant academy.Have a few Certifications related to my work, but which I've pursued on my own.
Why MBA?
While working in software development I have grown a strong interest in business. I have been responsible for business requirement and analysis for projects. I have put in lot of effort to understand the specific and updated business requirements for the client. In the process I realized that concrete base in business knowledge is essential to properly understand different processes in any industry. Hence I would like to take up a high quality program which helps me build a strong platform from which I look forward to further launch my career. An MBA at this stage will give me a better insight to the overall business and help me achieve my long term goal.
Short-term goal: To get into Technology Management Consulting.
Long-term goal: Entrepreneurial venture in India with my better half.
