Below are some pointers I got from 2015 students:

1. Neeley is great in terms of Teaching, Facilities and Location. It is a small program with the resources of a big program. The endowment for TCU is $1 Billion. For other big Universities, the endowments average around $300 Million. The Professors go out of their way to teach you sumthing you are passionate about. But don't expect them to recommend you for a job.

2. TCU brand is recognized and respected throughout Texas. But, in other parts of the country, it is not very popular.
Many Indians are also not that familiar with the TCU brand. That's bcoz.. not many MS Engineering students go to TCU. (Bottomline: Whatever you hear abt the Brand, the MBA program is a real gem and is worth the effort)

3. Campus placements are minimal/Non-existent for International students. But it is also the case with other so-called Top 25 B-schools. In that way, Neeley students have the advantage of Location. Dallas is home to some 10000 corporations. Networking is the key.

4. On-campus housing is expensive. However, a two-bedroom apartment outside the campus costs around $700-800. The same costs $1500 in Newyork/Boston/California.

5. Marketing and Supply-chain are the popular concentrations at Neeley. Finance folks- If you have an admit from some other B-school on the East coast, you better go for it. That is where, all the big Investment banks are located.

6. When it comes to Industry sectors, Dallas is famous the Energy/Technology/Airline companies.

All Indian students who decided to join TCU. Please share your Contact Information. We can collaborate on i20/Visa/Accommodation issues. We can rent a 2 bed-room apartment on sharing basis.

I also heard that public transport is almost non-existent in DFW. We may have to buy a car if we find off-campus accommodation.

Fellow applicants,

I would like you to know that we have a new forum for MBA debriefs where admitted members can share their admission experience.

I request the admitted students to spare some time and post their admission experience in the forum and help the other applicants. Applicants could discuss with the admitted students to learn from their experiences.

Here is the forum link: https://gmatclub.com/forum/share-your-application-experience-332/

Cheers,
