Hi there, I’m going to apply on February on the 2nd and somes 3th rounds to my master, right know I just did a 505 mock (first official one) but I’ve been studying for one and a half months. My method was completely wrong until like 3 weeks ago. Do you think until the 9/02 I have time to study for a competitive gmat for a chance in finance masters? My targets are St Galen, Escp, Edhec, Nova and Bocconi. Ps: I have my last 2 final college exames on 9/01 and 13/01. Thank you :)
It’s usually a bit tricky to improve a lot and fast unless you’ve made some big mistakes in your diagnostic test. I would say it is gonna be hard and not what I would recommend but I have seen people studying insured the birds in achieving high scores but you should be able to tell how it’ll be going within a week. You shouldn’t need to spend a month and then realize that you’re not hitting your scores. You can just take little quizzes of 10 questions and aim to get eight correct out of 10(a mix of easy medium and hard questions and more or less equal parts) if you’re hitting eight or more correct then you’re going to get to your goal but if you’re not able to do that, it will take longer

but good to see what its like beforehand
Yep. Give him a test drive. Just make sure that you analyze your mistakes because you will lose access and will have to buy them to review mistakes and reports and things like that.

Hi all, I could use a little input. I have taken both the GMAT and GRE and performed just mediocre on both exams so I’m trying to decide which exam to go with. I scored a 555 on the GMAT (77Q 83V 72DI) and a 312 on the GRE (154V 158Q) and percentile wise it seems to be about the same. I would say both exams are rather difficult and neither exam is particularly easier than the other in my opinion. I am a little stronger in language over math but I took the GMAT more recently so I am more used to GMAT questions. I really struggled with DI during my exam, which dragged down my score. Any constructive advice is appreciated

If you’re planning to apply with these scores, use the GRE

What’s your target score?
325+ on the GRE and 665+ on the GMAT. I’m wanting to apply to McCombs and Jones next year (round 1)

665 is easier to score than 325 + but if you are strong in Verbal, go with GRE.

I’m not wanting to use these scores, I’m wanting to retake one of the exams but neither exam feels easier than the other

Why is a 665 easier to score than 325+?

I can see that you have a strong V score. You need to work on your Q and improve it to Q83 and DI to 78-80.

If the state’s construction firms continue to harvest wood at the current pace, all viable tree farms will soon be exhausted, and woodlands will need to be used to maintain a steady supply of wood. Levying heavy taxes on each ton of wood harvested will induce the firms to reduce their consumption; these taxes will, therefore, protect the state’s woodlands.

Which of the following is an assumption made in drawing the conclusion above?

(A) The construction firms will reduce the amount of wood they consume by reducing the number of projects they take on.
(B) The taxes will not significantly affect the profits of most construction firms, even if they do not reduce the amount of wood they consume.
(C) Tree farms outside the state’s borders could be used as a source of wood for the state’s construction industry.
(D) Most of the state’s residents consider the beauty of the woodlands an important issue.
(E) The taxes will not induce the construction firms to illegally harvest wood from the woodlands.

Angel investors are protected from the legal liabilities of labor violations committed by the startups they invest in. A lawyer argues that this protection is in part why the rate of labor violations in startups is so high, as it negates any motivation on the part of the investor to determine whether the startups manage their employees ethically. If angel investors were more selective, startups would have to display compliance with labor laws to secure capital from them.

Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the lawyer's argument?

A. Before angel investors were protected from the legal liabilities incurred by the startups they invest in, there were fewer labor violations in startups than there are now.
B. The liability of an angel investor for labor violations committed by a startup in which the investor has invested depends on the level of involvement the investor has with the startup.
C. Most angel investors are well aware that they are protected from the legal liabilities of labor violations committed by the startups they invest in.
D. There is an upper limit to the amount of involvement an angel investor can have with a startup, while maintaining protection from the legal liabilities of labor violations committed by the startup, but few exceed this limit.
E. When angel investors were not protected from the legal liabilities incurred by the startups they invest in, frequent labor violations occurred in startups as a result of the lack of capital with the startups.
