Pittsville, a historic town, managed to keep its expenditures low, as it was not required to maintain or improve transport routes within the town. Five years ago, a state ordinance was passed, requiring the town to refurbish and expand its transport routes, significantly increasing the town’s expenditure. Yet, the town achieved a marked increase in its savings since then.

Which of these statements, if true, best resolved the paradox seen in the above passage?

A. The ordinance mandated that at least one third of a town’s expenditure go towards maintaining transport routes, but only a small percentage of transport expenditure was mandated to go towards the routes used to reach the town’s historic locations.
B. Most of the town’s transport routes are connected to areas of high population density and the routes' upgrade required considerable expenses in order to ensure public safety.

Hey guys, I need your opinion on something 🙏

I just got approved for a GMAT accommodation (1.5x extra time), which is great. But because of that I had to cancel my February 24th test date.

Now the problem is that the test centers in Porto and Lisbon don’t currently have availability with accommodations. They said they could potentially open a special seat for me on March 16th — but I’ve already been studying since November and I honestly feel quite ready now.

The other option is taking the GMAT online, which would allow me to choose an earlier date (which would be ideal), but I’m a bit scared of doing it online and something going wrong.

My goal is to apply for a Master’s in Finance or Accounting & Finance at Bocconi, St. Gallen, EDHEC, Nova or ESCP for September 2026 intake.

What would you do in my situation? Wait for March 16th at a test center or take the risk and do it online sooner?

Would really appreciate your thoughts 🙌

If you score above 675 (not sure about the exact threshold), there is a good chance that GMAC could flag your exam for review, and even cancel the score if they find anything suspicious.
Or due to some technical difficulties on your end, the proctor could cancel the test without an option for refund or retest.
Reddit has plenty of posts covering both the issues. I understand that one month is a long time, but I would be a little more patient and give the exam on March 16th.

Also, what is your target score? If you aren't aiming for a high score, then giving the online exam makes sense.

Thanks for the opinion actually I called Lisbon and I begged i almost cried 😂😂😂 and they will open a new special slot just for me
