Testbook pro, question bank with answers, Gmat and CAT exam is quite similar u can go for that

U can go for any of the gmat recommended Educational institutes
Such as egmat, magoosh etc.

Udemy premium subscription of 829 indian RS, U can get toppers courses with that subscription

Gmat ninja is also nice all those mentioned in this group
Is effective

Testbook is like 27indian rs per month
800rs for 2yrs
which is cheap and u get question bank for all exams, go for the cat exam question bank that is same level as Gmat

Hope this helps

Actually not for testbook pro
They only have options for Cat exam

It’s pretty cheap that’s why I mentioned that

Cat exam and Gmat FE is pretty same the only difference is cat has negative marking,

Hello, I am new here and new to GMAT prep as well so a few questions.

1) What would you suggest that I should pick first to start preparing for the exam?
2) Should I give a mock test first or should I do my initial prep and then start giving mocks?
3) Also, how many mocks should I plan to give during the duration of my prep? Is there any resource apart from GMAT club when I should will get free mock exams?
4) Should I take online coaching right away? If yes, which ones will you suggest?

Some of these might be very basic questions but there I am drowning in too much information and I believe it would be better to ask those who have gone through this journey themselves :) Please help me out. Thanks.

Don’t worry, these basic questions bug almost everyone.

1. Sequence doesn’t matters. You can pick anything as per your comfort level. Still, My experience says Quant, cos it gets completed early, especially if you have a Maths background. Once concepts of Quant are completed, they demand less energy than does Verbal.

2. You can give it a shot before starting of your prep, but don’t expect a miracle or something. Score can be less but thats not a reflection of your potential.

3. I gave one mock before starting of the prep, one after completion of all sections. Then, you just have to analyse the results of your mock, strengthen the weak areas, give another mock, repeat as many times as possible, preferably with Official GMATprep mocks which can be purchased separately from Gmatprep, apart from the official mock 1&2 which you get complementary.

4. Online coaching is better, it gives you proper content to learn, questions to practise, & experts to get your doubts cleared. I would advise to take it without loitering around much. I took egmat, which was decent. Other are also there, which I have not tried.

Thought to help, cos you are exactly in the position I was sometime back, so could relate!

Thank you! This really helps.

Should I start with my Maths 9th and 10th books for quant as the topics seems similar. Will it be worth it or will that be a waste of time? Let me know if you have any thoughts on this.

You can do that. Here are the topics and syllabus: gmat-syllabus-for-focus-edition-424188.html the danger you are running into by not using MGMAT or Kaplan books or a course is that you will learn something you don’t need (not a huge deal per se)... but that’s not a big dealbreaker really.

That will not be waste for sure, but the modules in any e learning portal are designed in a manner which helps you grow systematically. For eg egmat starts from basics of number system, brushup of which, although familiar to all of us, is nevertheless useful. They have content tailored for gmat aspirant only, so your energies will be Centered only on that content which actually needs to be learnt. Hope that helps
