Hello, can someone add me to a study circle?
I am planning to give gmat in the end of July or first week august this year. Giving gmat for ISB’s YLP programme admit.
Had given the IPMAT two years back , but did not get into IIM indore by 1 question (4 marks short in Short Answer section) , strong in quants except pnc and probability , decent in verbal , weak in DI.

Have started my prep just 15 days back , i am sure there will be like minded people here and we can share resources together and get good scores on our GMAT. We can discuss over DM or on group chat🤝

Just took the diagnostic test of gmat official . How to measure our score in that? If i got a 17/18 in quants . How much does that translate in gmat %ile and marks

Can anyone guide on the same?

17/18 is a good start. However, there is nothing concrete to convert and give you a figure or to predict anything meaningful from Official diagnostic test. You should rather take one full mock and evaluate.

I gave offical GMAT FE practice test. I scored a 585 which is 65th percentile on new GMAT FE. My Target is 705 which is 99 percentile. I am weak in VA and DI. I have 50 percentile in both of them. Can you suggest me some tips and preparation resources to improve my score.

I have 2 months of time to improve my score.

this is exactly how I started, here is my prep plan and suggestion; first I completely focused on getting better at Quant only. I get 17-20 correct out of 21 with one month focused preparation on Quant but I stated from scratch and if you have a base you might not need that much time, after that around one month time for verbal and I achieved 84% accuracy in these two sections considered together and now I’m focusing on DI. Two main advice that I feel is very important for GMAT is: 1. Focus on quality over quantity, 2. focus on accuracy get at least 85% accuracy to score more than 700. 2 months is enough so it is possible, best of luck

Did you take any course to improve your score or any resources that you would recommend?

I did take a course from a local coaching institute because it was cheaper than online courses

I still kind of trying to figure it out but I’m currently giving all attention to more practice of the harder DS and graphic interpretation questions

Of course. Most people use books and self study.

HI Mp7,

You certainly can use a self-study course, as many GMAT students go that route. If you are looking to see what kinds of courses are available you should check out the GMAT course reviews here on GMAT Club. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
