Does anybody know how is the Master in Marketing Management and Digital (MMD) Program at ESSEC’s Asia Pacific Campus in Singapore? It is good?

Hi, I am very new to the GMAT Club and I am sorry if this is not the appropriate place where to ask such a question. I’d like to ask something about the GMAT Score Estimator available in My Error Log Stats. When it comes to verbal, it assigned me a 27 which I sincerely can’t understand. How is it possibile or how does it work?
My Verbal correct exercises % divided by score range are:
100% Sub600 level.
95.8% 600-700 level.
69.4% 700 level.
I can’t figure out why my verbal result is so low. Is it normal to get such a low result with these percentages?
Hi. Happy to comment. I would say that the estimator in error log is not an adaptive system, obviously as you realize, so the scoring works in a different way. However, we wanted to give people some kind of an indicator or understanding of how they perform overall while solving individual questions.

It’s easy, sometimes to get overly focused on individual questions and lose the big picture. What the estimator does is that it compares your performance to that of everyone else. It takes into consideration, not only correct, and incorrect answers, but also average time that you take to answer the questions. Let me know if you have further questions or if you don’t think it makes sense. I would ask you to find the error. Log topic and post there to make sure I don’t miss it.

I think you need to define what you mean by the word good…. Because the fact that you are asking this question indicates you are not thinking about it correctly. There are so many aspects to a program - curriculum, professors, classmates, geographical location, job opportunities after graduation, the type of visa you get after graduation if you need it, on campus, recruiting, cost… 🥴

You’re right. What I basically want to know is:
1) How are the placements in this program? What is the employability rate?
2) What is the ROI? Is the ESCP MSc in Marketing and Creativity better than MMD?
3) How is the job market in Singapore? Can I also find jobs in Europe with this degree?

Hi. That’s 160 points… I would say that as you’re trying to get 98th percentile on the GMAT you need to realize what you’re trying to do

you trying to get a higher score than 98% of all the other test takers. You realize that right?

this means that your studying Hass to be 98% better than anyone else’s. This means you have to read 90% better than anyone else and you have to do everything better than 98% of people and you have to do it in two months.

A lot of times, people think about the score, but didn’t think about what it actually requires to achieve. You basically have to be the best student and study better than anyone else. And because there’s only a few courses in a few books, everyone uses the same materials, so there’s no competitive advantage in materials and it’s only all up to you. So I guess you tell me, can you study better than 90% of other test takers?

FYI - if you are getting too many chat notifications, you can mute notifications from groups you don’t want them from or leave that group. Click the . . . on the right upper corner and click it and choose either "Mute Notifications" OR "leave group"

I’ll be taking the GMAT on the 22nd. I amined to score around 650, this was the grade I was told to get but it seems intangible. I scored 550 with no prior contact with the test. I’ve had just a month to get ready for it. Then, I started studying hard and Dido 2 mock tests from GMAC and I scored 470 and 390. I can’t get why my score dropped this much. I still have one mock test, but I am very disappointed with me and my results. I know not only is it about me, but also the short timeframe I was given for preparation. I see no light over the tunnel for now

Hey. Sorry about the score. It is not uncommon for the score to drop after you start studying.
